Prerequisites by Course(s) and Microeconomics, Basic Mathematics & Statistics.
Topics Topics includes, GDP, GNP, Income inequality, Unemployment, Inflation,
international Trade, Money & banking.

Course Description The course is an extension of microeconomics course. The difference is that
the economic activities are measured at the economy level and not at the
individual level. Various concepts like GDP, GNP, per capita income and
CPI, Inflation and unemployment are studied. Fiscal Policy and Monetary
Policy are studied in detail so that the students gain the knowledge about the
in depth working of an economy and what are the various tools to conduct
these policies.

Course Objectives To understand how economic activity is measured by an economy.


To explore and understand the various indicators to look at for economic
growth.
To understand how a monetary and fiscal policy made to achieve the desired
goals of an economy
To understand the importance of taxation and the various types of taxes.
