Assessment Plan
At the end of some of the classes I am going to ask students to give me a rating out of
five about how they felt about today’s class. One meaning that they were not very confident in
their abilities and a five meaning that they believe that they achieved and had no problem on the
skills that we were working on that day. This use of formative feedback will give me a chance to
tweak some things in the next lesson if students are needing more time on one skill and less time
on another skill.
For summative assessment, every class I am going to watching for how well the students
are participating in the class and can execute the skills that they are working on. At the end of the
unit the student’s abilities will be translated to a mark out of four based on each of the four
physical education outcomes.
