Basic parts of a camera

Camera lens
Description
A camera lens is an optical lens or assembly of lenses
used in conjunction with a camera body and
mechanism to make images of objects either on
photographic film or on other media capable of
storing an image chemically or electronically.
Viewfinder
Description
In photography, a viewfinder is what the photographer
looks through to compose, and, in many cases, to
focus the picture. Most viewfinders are separate, and
suffer parallax, while the single-lens reflex camera
lets the viewfinder use the main optical system.
Shutter button
Description
In photography, the shutter-release button is a push-button
found on many cameras, used to record photographs. When
pressed, the shutter of the camera is "released", so that it
opens to capture a picture, and then closes, allowing an
exposure time as determined by the shutter speed setting.
Aperture
Description
In optics, an aperture is a hole or an opening through
which light travels. More specifically, the aperture and
focal length of an optical system determine the cone
angle of a bundle of rays that come to a focus in the
image plane. An optical system typically has many
openings or structures that limit the ray bundles.
Image sensor
Description
An image sensor or imager is a sensor that detects
and conveys information used to make an image. It
does so by converting the variable attenuation of light
waves into signals, small bursts of current that convey
the information. The waves can be light or other
electromagnetic radiation.
Flash Memory Cards
Computer peripheral class
A memory card, flash card or memory cartridge is an
electronic flash memory data storage device used for
storing digital information.
Liquid-crystal display
A liquid-crystal display is a flat-panel display or other
electronically modulated optical device that uses the
light-modulating properties of liquid crystals. Liquid
crystals do not emit light directly, instead using a
backlight or reflector to produce images in color or
monochrome.
Camera Flashes
A flash is a device used in photography producing a
flash of artificial light at a color temperature of about
5500 K to help illuminate a scene. A major purpose
of a flash is to illuminate a dark scene. Other uses
are capturing quickly moving objects or changing the
quality of light.
