Cariñosa
The Cariñosa (meaning loving or affectionate one), is a Philippine national dance from
the María Clara suite of Philippine folk dances, where the fan, and handkerchief plays an
instrument role as it places the couple in romance scenario.
Gangsa
The flat gong commonly known as gangsaand played by the groups in the Cordillera region of the bossed
gongs played among the Islam and animist groups in the Southern Philippines.
Kundiman is a genre of traditional Filipino love songs The lyrics of the Kundiman are written
in Tagalog. The melody is characterized by a smooth, flowing and gentle rhythm with dramatic
intervals. Kundiman was the traditional means of serenade in the Philippines
The martyrdrom of jose rizal-The Martyrdom of Rizal Mural, done in 1960 is one of the best
known work of Carlos “Botong” V. Francisco, Philippine National Artist for Visual Arts in
1973. Francisco is best known for his landmark murals depicting some of the Philippine
historical events. The mural depicts the execution of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal
at Bagong Bayan (now Rizal Park) on December 30, 1896. The mural was commissioned
by Fort Santiago as part of the Rizal Shrine.
Tanghalang Hulyo Beinte Tres Ink., is an independent University Based Theater Organization composed
of students and young professionals from Polytechnic University of the Philippines who had undergone
series of extensive Theater workshops and Leadership Trainings.
