1.Lead in – Teacher recaps the characters from the novel ‘The Elephant Man’.

2. Teacher explains task : Students will read the summary of the novel ‘The Elephant Man’ in table form
and skim for the events/evidence that shows discrimination towards Merrick in the novel.
