‘THE STATE OF TEXAS VS. TYRELL RESHARD WASHINGTON
CASE# 17-3494
COMPLAINT - THEFT $30,000 OR MORE BUT LESS THAN $150,000 - CORYELL COUNTY, TEXAS:
IN THE NAME AND BY AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF TEXAS
I, Lester L, Nace, being duly sworn, do state upon my oath that I have good reason to believe and do believe
based on the following information:
On 09/14/2017 Iwas assigned to investigate a case concerning missing firearms from EJI Firearms, formerly
known as Just Glocks, located at 2901 Deer Flat in Copperas Cove. I was advised by the business owner, Edward
Isenberg, that it had been discovered during an audit of their records that a former employee, Tyrell Reshard
‘Washington, had transferred a large sum of firearms to himself without authorization. Isenberg provided me with
documentation that showed that 92 Glock pistols had been transferred to Washington between June 18", 2016 and
June 22", 2017. Washington was interviewed and ultimately confessed to obtaining approximately 84 firearms
‘from the business without rendering payment for them during his employment, A consent search was conducted at
‘Washington’ residence, where a portion of the firearms were recovered. During the course of the investigation, at
least 30 interviews were conducted with individuals associated with Washington. I learned that Washington had
gifted, sold, or traded the vast majority of the firearms he had obtained unlawfully. It was also discovered that
‘Washington would have individuals come in to the business were he would transfer firearms to them in their
name without them paying the business. Approximately 118 firearms belonging to the business, with an estimated
cost of $50,368.45, were determined as being involved with Washington's unlawful conduct.
and I charge that heretofore, and before the making and filing of this complaint, on or about the 18 day of
Sune, A-D., 2016, to the 27 day of June, A-D., 2017 in Coryell County and State of Texas, TYRELL
RESHARD WASHINGTON, Defendant, did then and there unlawfully appropriate, by acquiring or
otherwise exercising control over, property, to-wit: Glock Firearms, of the value of $30,000 or more but less
than $150,000, from Edward John Isenberg (EJI Firearms), the owner thereof, without the effective consent
of the owner, and with intent to deprive the owner of the property.
