Dynamics
Q.1: Define Dynamics?

Ans.1The branch of mechanics that deals with the study of motion of an object
and the cause of its motion is called dynamics.

Q.2: Define Force?

Ans.2: A force moves or tends to move, stop or tends to stop the motion of a
body. The force can also change the direction of motion of a body.

Q.3: Write some examples of force?

Ans.3: 1) We can open a door either by pushing or pulling.

2)A bats man is changing the direction of a moving ball by pushing it with his
bat.

Q.4: A boy is pushing a wall and is thus trying to move it?

Ans.4:No, he does not move the wall because he is applying very less force.

Q.5: Define Inertia?

Ans.5:Inertia of a body is its property due to which it resists any change in its
state of rest or motion.

Q.6: Define Momentum?

Ans.6:Momentum of a body is the quantity of motion it possesses due to its mass.

Q.7: What is the nature of Momentum?

Ans.7: Momentum is a vector quantity.

Q.8: What is the SI unit of momentum?

Ans.8: Its SI unit is kgms-1.

Q.9: Momentum stands for what?

Ans.10: momentum stands for P.

Q.10: What did the Newton concluded?

Ans.10:Newton concluded that everybody resists the change in its state of rest or
of uniform motion in a straight line. He called this property of matter as inertia.
He related inertia of a body with its mass; greater is the mass of a body greater
is its inertia.

Q.11: What is Newton’s laws of motion?

Ans.11: Newton was the first to formulate the laws of motion known as Newton’s
laws of motion.

Q.12: Define Net Force?

Ans.12: Net Force is the resultant of all the forces acting on a body.

Q.13: What the Newton first law of motion states?

Ans.13: A body continues its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line
provided no net force acts on it.

Q.14: What happened when a net force acts on a body?

Ans.14: When a net force acts on a body, it produces acceleration in the body in
the direction of the net force. The magnitude of this acceleration is directly
proportional to the net force acting on the body and inversely proportional to its
mass.

Q.15: What is the SI unit of force?

Ans.15: The SI unit of force is newton (N).
