Solving Percent Problems

Start the lesson with having students pull out their booklets to
homework check that the order of operations pages have been
completed.

The goal of this lesson is to explore solving problems involving

percentages to 100%. The lesson will start with a review of the
connection between percentages, decimals and fractions and a

guided through slides on the Smart Board with sample percent
problems that will be worked through as a class. Students will
need to use their prior problem solving skills to read and solve
