3.2. Door Preparation
3.2.1. Standard Doors (30-50mm)
Step 1
• Draw spindle centre line using pencil along inside face of door.
Note: Minimum recommended distance from finished floor to spindle centre line is 950mm
(Refer Figure - 4).

Step 2
• Remove adhesive stickers on back of face drill marker and stick to inside face of door such that
centre line of marker aligns with marked spindle centre line. Also align door edge to edge of marker.
• Mark holes as shown in Figure - 5.

Step 3
• Slide in door thickness marker into flaps provided in face drill marker according to type of door
handing (Refer Section 3.1). Align centre line of marker with appropriate thickness line on scale
provided and stick marker to door.
• Mark holes as shown in Figure - 6C.

Step 3
• Slide in door thickness marker into flaps provided in face drill marker. Align centre line of marker to
50 mm line on marker irrespective of door thickness and stick marker to door.
• Note that mortise cutout will not be at the centre of door thickness. Refer table 2 before attaching
door thickness marker. Mark holes as shown in Figure - 9.

3.3. Handing Change for Mortise Lockcase
Make sure that latch and guard latch matches direction of door closing as shown in Figure - 11.

3.5.1. Right Hand Door Change
• Remove spindle and clutch plate screw, change the installation direction of inside spindle and
outside spindle to make sure outside spindle is installed in ‘R’ side and inside spindle and clutch plate
are installed in “L” side of clutch. Fasten spindles with screws.

3.5.2. Left Hand Door Change
• Remove spindle and clutch plate screw, change installation direction of inside spindle and outside
spindle to make sure outside spindle is installed in ‘L’ side and inside spindle and clutch plate are

3.7. Mortise Lockcase Installation
3.7.1. Orientation of Cylinder Cam
• Make sure orientation of cylinder cam in mortise lockcase is in horizontal direction. (Refer Figure - 25)
If not adjust cylinder cam using slotted drive screw driver.

3.9. Inside Assembly Installation
3.9.1. Installation Steps
• Make sure that inside lever is aligned to the direction and orientation of outside lever.
• Connect 14-pin cable to 14-pin cable connector.
• Connect DPS cable with red sleeve to “Red” text connector.
• Connect 9V battery cable with blue sleeve to the “Blue” text connector.
• Connect clutch cable to clutch connector.

• Remove battery cover screw and slide battery cover down (Refer Figure - 32).
• Secure inside assembly to back plate with mounting screws (Refer Figure - 33).

3.9.2. Battery Installation
1. Remove battery cover screw holding the cover in place (Refer Figure - 34).
. Slide battery cover down and remove four batteries.
3. Replace four new batteries with recommended specifications. (Duracell®# ‘AA’ batteries rated 1.5V)
4. Slide Battery cover to its original position.
5. Secure battery cover with battery cover screw.
Note: Make sure batteries are installed correctly according to terminals.

5.4. Cylinder Replacement
• Trim cylinder driver bar provided in kit to required length (Refer Section 5.5).
• Uninstall cylinder by removing cylinder mounting screws from outside assembly of lock.
• Uninstall cylinder clamp.
• Remove cylinder.
• Install trimmed driver bar cylinder (Refer Section 5.5).
• Install cylinder clamp and cylinder mounting screws to secure cylinder as shown in Figure - 46.
