OPEN AND CLOSED CIRCUITS

REPORTING FOR THE 4TH GRADING PERIOD OF SCIENCE 5 INFORMAL SCRIPT

HI, I AM __________________________________________.

GENO: Good afternoon classmates and the loveliest Science teacher and coordinator, Mrs.
Herminia Annang.

ALL: We will report Lesson 29 or Open and Closed circuits.

GENO: But first, I will introduce my group. This is Charize, Anica and Breindell. All content from
the presentation are purely based on the book and internet. Now, let’s get started. Check this
kitchen full of appliances and light. Now most households have several devices that make use of
electricity. Am I right or right? Our everyday life somehow depends on electricity. Let’s go to the
chase that the number of electrical devices we have at home show how important electricity is to
us and in our everyday life. QUESTIONS for today will highlight the lesson more briefly. The
questions are (READ). But first, this (READ). In this lesson, we will compare two different and distinct
circuits. The (READ) and the (READ). From this juncture, Anica will define ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT.
Anica, you may take my place.

ANICA: Thank you, Geno. (READ THE DEFINITION OF ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT). *NOTE: Do not show
or tell the source*. A while back, you saw the open and closed circuit. The two are different in
definition but same in its components. It has a source of electricity, light bulb or light, wires and a
switch. The setup is a wire is attached to the negative end of a battery while the other wire is
attached to the positive end. Both wires are attached to the bulb. This can be defined as a closed
circuit. Now, my besshy, Charize, will tell you the different circuits and its definition. Besshh!

CHARIZE: Thanks, besshh! Now, a closed circuit makes the light bulb light up because the path of
electricity is complete, allowing electricity to flow through it. Electricity flows from the ne
