Learning Goals - by the end of this activity, students will be expected to:
• produce an engaging and motivated promotional video
• learn the basics of audio video editing including green screen keying
• identify and apply a variety of editing tools using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 software
• work independently to complete the project on time

Assignment Objective: Students will work independently to edit a video trailer that captures and promotes the fun Grade 9 Orientation day. This video is intended to be a fun look back at their first day of high school.
The intended target audience is primarily their peer grade 9 students. The final video will include an edit of a green screen video Intro and Extro.
Students can also think of their final video as a promotional tool to show grade 7 and 8 students to help them know what to expect when the come to Castlebrooke on their own Orientation Day.

Workflow
Projects “Bins” have been created and named effectively to keep project assets organized
“Sequence” is organized with: necessary tracks and effective track names
All audio and video clips are organized in the appropriate tracks
Project File and final video submitted - video plays properly (video format as per teacher instructions)
Green Screen Keying
Effective use of both “Ultra Key” and “Garbage Matte’ video effects
O/C talent has a clean cut out with no green fringe around edges
Appropriate virtual motion background added for O/C talent video clips
Audio Levels
Audio levels are effectively set to consistent levels between -3 and -6dB
Music and Intro/Extro Voice levels are balanced
Titles & Graphics (GFX)
Levels: 1 = criteria not met; 2 = criteria partially met; 3 = criteria met; 4 = exceeds expectations selectively write in descriptive feedback for clarity of specific criteria as needed?
Concept development? Checkmark box beside criteria - when marking use a checkmark fro each criteria line if met, + if exceed, - if partially met, I if Incomplete i.e.. not satisfactory?
