Check - Sealing ring between the air pipe and
compressor housing
Applies to PGRT, PGRS and FKN buses
Removing
1. The illustration shows one design, but the B
A
principle applies to all sealing rings.
When removing it, the sealing ring may crack
or partly break.
After removal, make sure that the sealing ring
(A) is intact and that no pieces have come
loose.

If the sealing ring is cracked or parts are missing

1. Make sure that no pieces have stuck to the
compressor housing flange or entered the
compressor housing.

2. Make sure the air tube is not damaged or that

there are pieces on the flange.

When fitting
1. Scania recommends renewing the sealing ring.
Lubricate the sealing area with petroleum jelly
or another oil-based lubricant. Avoid using an
excessive amount. Be careful not to crack the
sealing ring when fitting it.
