GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT REPORT OF DME ( Mech)

All the Students of DME informed to note the following points while submitting
the Project Report.
Points:
1. Paper Size: A4
Margins: Top: 1" Bottom: 1"
Left: 1.25" Right: 1"
Gutter Position: Left, Line Spacing: 1.5
Paragraph Starting Spacing: 1 Tab
2. Font: Times New Roman
Chapter Heading: 14 (Upper Case, Bold)
Main titles: 12 (Upper Case, Bold)
Sub-titles: 12 (Title case, bold)
Text matter: 12,
3. The sequence of pages should be as follows:
1. Title Sheet
2. Certificate
3. Examiners certificate
4. Acknowledgement
5. Letter of Project Completion from Industry indicating the duration of
project, Title of Project & Students name.
6. Photograph of Project Model
7. Abstract of project.

» Web addresses with specific link can be mentioned as references.
» The sequence of the references should be as per the use in the report and the references
should be indicated in the report in the superscript format in square bracket after the
title heading of the particular topic where that reference is being used.
 Example :-

5. Figures should be on separate pages without page numbers.
6. Page no. should be mentioned at the bottom & center of the page.
7. Figure title should be mentioned below the figure in title case (12 TNR, bold) & title
for table, chart, graph should be mentioned on the top (12 TNR, bold).
8. A CD has to be submitted in the following format for each project
 CD Title: Year, Initials of Guide
 CD Label: Title of Project, Name of Guide, Year
 CD Should consist of complete report in Word
 CD should consist of Reference Papers which are used in the
project & PPT of presentation.
6. All the sponsored project students should submit two photographs of the project model
with title of project, name of Guide & Year of Project (at the back of the photo)
7. All the sponsored project students should submit a copy of letter of completion of
project from industry consisting of Title of Project, Name of Students & duration i.e.
7/7/2010 to 28/2/2011.
8. The last date of submission of Project Report is 28th Feb 2014
9. For each project two copies are to be submitted in the college & one copy is to be
retained with each student.
10.Hard binding should be in DARK BLACK & embossing is compulsory.
