Naga, officially called City of Naga (Central Bikol: Ciudad nin Naga; Rinconada
Bikol: Syudad ka Naga; Filipino: Lungsod ng Naga; Spanish: Ciudad de Naga), or
simply Naga City, is an independent component city in the Bicol Region (Region V) of
the Philippines. The town was established in 1575 on order of Spanish Governor-
General Francisco de Sande, the city, then named Ciudad de Nueva Cáceres (New
Cáceres City), earned its status as the third Spanish Royal City in the Spanish East
Indies after Iloilo and Manila. As of the 2015 census, it has a population of 196,003, and
has 77,784 registered voters. It has a labor force of 60,772 people, with 57,278
employed, and 3,494 are unemployed. Majority of Naga City's population are 15 years
and below.
Naga City is the Bicol Region's trade, business, religious, cultural, industrial,
commercial, medical, educational and financial center. It was awarded as the "Most
Competitive Component City in the Philippines" also being "the Center of Good
Governance in the Philippines".
Naga is the core of Metro Naga, an official designation given the city and 14
municipalities in the area administered by the Metro Naga Development Council.

a. Personnel Profile
As of May 2017, Naga City Central Fire Station has a total manpower
complement of 54, wherein only 1 officer, 52 are of non-officer ranks and 1 non-
uniformed personnel (NUP).
The table below shows that almost 70% NCCFS personnel are male with the
strength of 38 and 16 female which is equivalent to 30%.

b. Educational Profile
Out of the total number of 54 personnel, 56 or 96% have met the minimum
educational requirements as stipulated under Republic Act 9263 also known as the
Professionalization act of 2004 while only 4% or 2 personnel are undergrad.

d. Training Profile
With regards to the mandatory trainings, the table below shows that 86% or 46 of
the total number of the uniformed personnel of NCCFS are adequately trained and only
12% or 8 personnel who have not yet undergone their mandatory training;

The table shows that there is an increase of 64% in the total number of

b. Action Taken
In terms on the action taken of NCCFS, the table below shows a positive
outcome due to the intensified effort of the personnel of this station wherein, FSIC
issued for Occupancy Permit increased by 142% and FSIC for Business Permit
increased by 46% while there is no NTCV issued for this quarter.
c. Other Activities
As part of the Fire Safety Campaign of NCCFS, this station was able to conduct
a total of 1,001 Seminars and Drills to Public and Private Buildings/Establishment and
Organized and Trained 22 Fire Brigades.

last year although the estimated damage increased due to the type of establishment
involved.
