• Hamburg is one of the most well-known cities in Germany.


• It is the second largest city after Berlin.
• About 1.8 million people are living in Hamburg.

• It is the eight largest city in the European Union.


• Hamburg lays on a river called Elbe it is the third longest river in
Europe and is more than 679 miles long.
Temperatures in Hamburg

• Very wet and windy, the summers are warm but also wet.
• Highest temperature ever: 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit (July 20,
2006).

• Coldest temperature ever: -28.8 degrees Fahrenheit (February 13,


1940).
• We do not have that much snow in Germany, it starts with a icy
sleet and ends with a light snowfall.
Elbphilharmonie

• It is also known as “Elphi”.


• It is a concert hall in the middle of HafenCity.
• It was opened on January 11,2017 and costs about 789 million
Euros that is round about 908,520,087.00 United States Dollar.

• It can fit 2,100 people.


• The Elphi is popular for the oldest orchestra, it is called the
Philharmonic State Orchestra and it has done more than 200 opera
and ballet performances each year.
Port of Hamburg

• It is a sea port on the river “Elbe”


• The port of Hamburg is the third largest port in Europe and the
eighth largest port in the world.
• The harbor covers an area of 73.99 km².
• It can also employ 10,000 people.
• It is founded on May 7, 1189 by Frederick the first for its strategic
locations.
Conclusion

• Hamburg is a big but also a beautiful city with more than 1.8
million people inside.
• It has also beautiful sights like the Elbphilhaemonie.
• And it has a nice port, which is one of the biggest ports in the
world.
