with everyone to ensure
everything went smoothly
the day of.

I was the Special Events
Vice President, so I was in

Run and the Teen Cycle

Adopt-A-Survivor

Adopt-A-Survivor is a
community service program
that I participate in at the Sid
Jacobson JCC. I meet once
a week for 1 hour and 30
minutes and listen to a
Holocaust survivor. He tells
his whole story from the
beginning before World War
II to when he got older. He
describes the consecration
camps in depth and we get

to ask question. This
program is designed to
continue the stories and
experiences because soon
enough all Holocaust
survivors will be gone.
People who participate in
this program is supposed to
continue on the story and
make sure that no one
forgets the terrible times in
Jewish History.

Enrichments, I helped kids
do their homework and
played games with them. In
addition there was an art
activity in which I would help
the teacher and the kids.
This allowed me to interact
with kids and form bonds
with them.
