•Valentine’s day: THURS, 2/14— HAPPY LOVE DAY!!!

We will be exchanging valentines this year on Valentine's Day!

We will not have time in the day for parents to come into the classroom, but the students
will have their time to exchange their valentines.
We will decorate the Valentine's bags at school as well! ** please send in stickers and/or
decorations for students to decorate the bags**
Please note:
Your child must provide a valentine for EACH student in the class or none at all. We do not
want any child to feel left out. Same goes for the whole third grade. If your child wants to
give a valentine to a student in a different class then he/she needs to give a valentine to
the entire third grade. We prefer that the students keep the exchanges within their own
classrooms. You can find class lists on homeroom teachers’ websites :) The valentines may
include candy, but let's keep it small :)
ALSO, NO PEANUTS OR CANDY CONTAINING TRACES OF NUTS.

•Reading Log for February: Students should read for at least 20 minutes on 18 days of the
month. They should also answer one question in complete sentences on the back of the log.
For each day that the reading log is late, 10 points will be subtracted from the overall grade.
Reading logs are due at the end of each month.

• Third-Topia: If you would like to donate any items to our Class Store for behavior incentives,
please send them in with your child! We would love if any parents would be interested in
donating a basketball, bouncy ball, or anything your child is interested in buying (with fake
“class” money).

•Multiplication Fluency Test Practice- Resources to help your students practice for each of
the multiplication facts: https://quizlet.com/class/7662089/ and https://
www.mathplayground.com/ASB_MeteorMultiplication.html

•Renweb: Please keep up with your child’s grade percentages and progress on Renweb.

Reminders
• Please check your child’s Daily Folder and Agenda each day after school. The agenda
contains important information regarding assessments, assignments and projects. It also
contains assignments from the day that may need to be completed as homework.

• Please try to remind your student to bring a snack each day. We are letting them know it is
their responsibility to make sure they pack them.

• Chapel is every Tuesday morning. Please have your child wear the chapel uniform and
