‘The Deta Electrical components are available in a range of sizes and styles. A type catalogue has been set up to assist
the user in selecting only the required types they need. This wil helo prevent any increase infil size to your project.
The zip ile that you have just downloaded from bimstore will contain two important files which allow type
catalogues to work correctly, these are;
~The ‘rf file (Revit family component)
~The “txt which is named exactly the same as the ‘sf file (contains the type catalogue information)
IMPORTANT - Please ensure that when saving your component on to your system that you save both files tothe same
location
Please follow the below method to load the component into your project.

The Deta Electrical components have been modelled as ‘Electrcal Flxtures families. You can add the family into your
‘project using the following method;
1, Open you Revit project file (v8), and navigate to an appropriate view.
2. Goto the insert’ tab on the Revit Ribbon and select ‘Load Family’

3. Navigate to the location of the saved component that you have just downloaded from www/bimstore.cousk,
Note - Please refer to the Type Catalogue’ section above and ensure that you have saved the xt file to the
correctlocation,

5. Click OK to load these components into your project. The Family is now copied & embedded into your project and
«can be selected from the Project Browser / Families / Electrical Futures’ selector within your project browser.

‘The switch components have 2 number cf additional built-in features to assist the user when specifying and placing
the BIM component This includes user selectable back boxes with guidance. To use these additional features please
follow the steps below;
