CHORAL COMPETION(ELEMENTARY)

A. GUIDELINES
1. The competition is open to all Elementary Schools within the parish.(Students only)\
2. Each participating school must have a minimum of 20 members and maximum of 30 members,
excluding the conductor.
3. A choral conductor may be invited by the participating schools or they may provide their own.
4. The official contest piece will be “Jose a Napili” (Lyrics will be provided) and will be sang a
capella.
5. The song must be sung in at least two voices(male and female) or 4 voices(SATB, Soprano, Alto,
Tenor, Bass)
6. Attire must be school uniform.
7. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

B. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

I. VOICE QUALITY– 30%
II. HARMONY- 40%
III. MUSICIANSHIP – 20%

IV. STAGE PRESENCE – 10%
