seats 600 and features a world-class pipe organ built
by the Goulding & Wood Company.

This adjective struck me as particularly appropriate for Emens Auditorium this AT A GLANCE

the recent expansion of our facility. For those that have frequented the auditorium September

Blast off with Janet’s Planet! Explore the wonders of the solar system by NOVEMBER
traveling at the “speed of thought” in this interactive performance that takes 4+
families and young audiences on a virtual tour across the universe. Based
on the educational television show that airs on 144 public television stations
nationwide, Janet’s Planet fans are in for a real treat as they see the galaxy
from Janet’s futuristic Mission Control. Janet’s Planet promotes critical AT 6:30 PM
thinking, scientific literacy, encourages lifelong learning, and brings to light
the wonderful creativity that is an integral part of science.

NOVEMBER Arkansas native Justin Moore spent three years putting together his fourth
studio album, Kinda Don’t Care. The platinum-selling entertainer kick started
the album with his sixth chart-topping single “You Look Like I Need A Drink”
and follow-up single “Somebody Else Will.” Kinda Don’t Care provides a

IBMA Distinguished Achievement and Grammy Award-winning musician, SEPTEMBER
Alison Brown not only plays the three-finger banjo, but successfully
merges the traditional sounds of folk, jazz, Celtic and Latin. Today, she 4+
is acclaimed to be one of the finest progressive banjo players. Although
banjos typically play “tunes” or “breakdowns,” in Alison Brown’s hands,
the banjo truly sings. Part of that is the modifications she’s made to her AT 7:30 PM
signature model Prucha 5-string, muting the usual harsher overtones and
extraneous noises, emphasizing the sweetness and melodicism.

SEPTEMBER Loren Barrigar and Mark Mazengarb share a unique musical chemistry and Mandy Harvey is a deaf American singer-songwriter whose dream of a choral OCTOBER

Fans of Irish music will have an early Christmas present this year. DECEMBER
Lúnasa, one of Ireland’s most beloved traditional instrumental bands, 4+

will tour with one of Ireland’s most beloved singers, Ashley Davis. The

ensemble performs songs and tunes from all over the Celtic realm –
Pine Leaf Boys — “unquestionably the two groups at the vanguard of the

Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, and Asturias (a Celtic region in Spain). The

singer Ashley Davis. Families love the opportunity to come together in

LE VENT DU NORD

Since its inception in August 2002, Le Vent du Nord has enjoyed meteoric APRIL
success. The band has received several prestigious awards, including a
Juno, and is now one of the most-loved Quebec folk outfits throughout 4+
the world. The group consists of singers/multi-instrumentalists Nicolas
Boulerice, Simon Beaudry, Olivier Demers, and Réjean Brunet. Some songs
come from traditional folk repertoire, while others are original compositions. AT 7:30 PM
Le Vend du Nord knows how to deliver music that will move any crowd – to
their feet and in their hearts!
