GT Computing summer camps expose elementary, middle school, and high school students to a

creative side of computing that that may not have experienced before. Our hope and goal is that
these new experiences will lead campers to add computing to their creative tool set and use it as
a lifelong means of expression. In addition to computing, campers experience a bit of the college
life as well. Each session includes a campus tour, lunch in one of campus cafeterias, and
swimming at the campus recreation center. (All of these experiences and a t-shirt are included in
the cost of the camp.)
Artbotics: Where Art meets Robotics
Artbotics explores robotics through the lens of art. It introduces campers to art, computer science and robotics, by
creating interactive sculptures. Campers’ projects will use one or more sensors for input, a programmable embedded
control system – Arduino microcontroller – motors, mechanics, lights and/or sound to move or “animate” the
art. Camp will culminate with an art exhibition so that campers can showcase their masterpieces to their family and
friends.
