    1. An asset deficiency report was filed for a leak in the piping circuit of the MTBE unit. 2. The leak was located at pipe LSC-8-1P2-10010-H-65 near the battery limit area 200, and was caused by erosion of the inner pipe wall from condensate flow. 3. The recommendations were to immediately repair the pipe through a temporary repair if replacement was not possible, and to perform a permanent repair at the earliest opportunity.

    Inspection Date : 08/02/2018 line no: LSC-1 ½-1P2-10002-H-40.

    Location: Above walkaway nearby battery limit area 200.

    Recommendations : Maintenance Repair

    - Immediately repair the pipe. If replacement cannot be done,


    temporary repair (NSR) can be performed with proper assessment and
    approved procedure by technical authority. It shall be registered in
    EMOC system for monitoring. Permanent repair shall be performed at
    earliest opportunity.

    Overall Condition:
    - Leaking was due to the erosion causes from the condensate that flowing in pipe that rapidly lead to thinning the inner wall of the
    piping.

    downstream of piping system from D-1004 after
    piping system modification during TA 2017.
    Forward the report to TSD Process for further
    evaluation of performance of D-1004 after
    modification. The erosion at T section could be
    accelerated from the modification.
