/æ/ and /ɑ/

(Long /æ/) and (Long /ɑ/ )

In both /æ/ and /ɑ/ , the mouth is wide open:

For /æ/ , tongue is flatten out and comes forward.

For /ɑ/, tongue is further back and much less visible.
