If the five forces act on a particle as shown in the figure. Determine Ap CO 10
the resultant force. 1

A simply supported beam carries a load as shown in figure. Ap CO 10

Determine the reactions at the supports. 2

Determine the resultant of coplanar non concurrent force system as Ap CO 10

shown in the figure. Determine its magnitude and direction and 2
locate its with respect to the sides of AB and AD.

The line of action of three forces are concurrent at the origin ‘O’ Ap CO 10
passes through points A, B, and C having coordinates (3,0,-3), (2,- 1
2,4) and (-1,2,4) respectively. If the magnitude of the forces are 10
N, 30 N and 40 N, find the magnitude and direction of their
resultant.

Three concurrent forces in space F1, F2 and F3 are acting at A as Ap CO 10

shown in the figure. The unknown force F, is attached to the system 1
makes the particle A in equilibrium. Find the magnitude and
direction of the unknown force F.

Two forces P and Q are applied as shown at point A of a hook Ap CO 10

support. Knowing that P =15 N and Q = 25 N, determine the 1
magnitude and direction of their resultant using (a) the
parallelogram law, (b) the triangle law.
