Narrative Report

Joining the PLV FTX and accomplishing it would be one of the biggest
achievements in my life and I
wouldn’t definitely forget it. I
have learned and realized a lot of
things during the 3-day event
and I could say that it changed
something about me.
It is still clear in my mind
that moment that we arrived in
the camp. We went out of our
bus with our heavy bags with us
and joined the other companies
in the field. Facilitators were
screaming on the top of their
lungs and you couldn’t see anyone walking or moving slowly. Everyone is
moving double time as how we are told to do so. You would definitely feel the
tension by how other facilitators handle their companies, lucky for our
company that we got the kindest facilitator of all <3. It was just 8 in the
morning the time the opening program started but I could feel the sun burn my
skin. No one can definitely complain about our situation but it really is
something that I am not used to do. As the activities started and as we go on
stations, I could feel that I’m
about to give-up for I could feel
my chest ache because of the
non-stop running we are doing
whenever we move from a station
to another. My buddy would get
mad at me for stopping for I
really can’t run anymore but, I
can’t complain! I had to continue
and go-on. The only time we had
to breathe was when we reached our next station. Were lucky if there is still a
company on that station and we can rest while waiting for them to finish. We
were so tired that we haven’t mind lying on the muddy ground just to have a
quick rest. That night I remembered that we did survival cooking and it was

really unforgettable. We used

everything that the place has for us.
We picked up drift wood and dried
branches for our fire. We shared the
food that every squad on our company
has cooked and I thought that it was
the end of the day and I can finally
wash myself up and sleep but no, we
had a program and I guess that was
already past 10pm when we finished. I
remembered that while other
companies were presenting their yell
and skit in front, I was about to cry and I was considering of just going home
for I couldn’t handle the activities anymore. But then, at that time also, I
realized, why not I try to push myself to the limit this time and just finish this
until the 3rd day, I know it will be really hard but I bet that if I accomplished it,
it will be something I will be really proud of doing, and so did I. As we headed
back on our barracks to sleep, 10 of us sleeping in a tent with mud all over our
body, but no one complained, even me, I guess we were tired enough to
complain and all we wanted was to sleep and get some rest.
The second day wasn’t as hard as how the first day went. I guess my
body just got used to all the running and physicality because I guess we
finished all the hard activities on the first day. Just like the first day, I was
looking forward for the day to end, eat and just go to sleep and finally just go
home. We had so much
time to rest and to chill
during the second day.
We were also get to
socialize with all the
people in our company
and it was really a good
thing. The second day
ended, we got to sleep
and we woke up at 6 in
the morning as usual.
But my fellow buddies in
our tent tend to wake up 20-30 minutes earlier so we have time to prepare
ourselves before the morning call. I bet that all of us were all excited to go

home, get a nice and warm bath and a proper sleep but who would’ve thought
that me myself, on the time I went home and the morning after it, my body
missed the rocky spot of our tent, the grassy smell in the morning, the endless
runs, the burning sun and my loving delta family. It was definitely an
experience that you wouldn’t definitely forget and I bet I would be proud to
brag about it to other people who wants and plans to join the FTX.
