MicroSolution: Clutch/Brake

Control
As seen at Automation Fair 2002, the Penny Pincher MicroSolution demonstrated how we “stamped” an impression
on to a penny. The user would initiate the process by inserting a penny into the machine, which was automatically
positioned. The user then would select the desired design that he/she wanted “stamped” on to the penny. The
appropriate disc was triggered, and then the final “stamped” penny was delivered to the user. Our mini- stamping
press demonstration displayed the use of a MicroLogix 1000 controller, a 1492 terminal block for wiring safety and
ease, and a 700-HB relay and 700-HN relay socket for high current motor control.
Impress your accountants with how simple penny pinching can be when using Allen-Bradley components such as
MicroLogix controllers for your automation needs.
