GIRL SCOUTS OF HAWAIʻI ANNOUNCES NEW MEMBERS OF ITS BOARD OF


DIRECTORS

HONOLULU, HI – FINAL – The Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi recently appointed three new
members to its Board of Directors. The 21-member volunteer board is charged with
supporting the Girl scouts of Hawaiʻi through community outreach and fundraising efforts
while embodying the principles, beliefs, and mission of Girl Scouting.

The following three new board members include:

• Glen Kaneshige is the President of Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. Glen is


responsible for setting the strategic direction for the company in Hawaiʻi while
maintaining involvement in the company’s operations. Glen is also a board
member for the American Heart Association, Teach for America, Child & Family
Service, NAIOP Hawaiʻi, and the State of Hawaiʻi Workforce Development Council.
• Michele K. Saito is the President & CEO of DTRIC Insurance Group. With more
than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Michelle has been able to
increase employee engagement by 30 percent, restore employees’ confidence
after the AIG crisis, and lead the company through a smooth transition after its
acquisition by Farmers Insurance. Michelle is also a board member for Alexander
and Baldwin, Inc., Child & Family Service, the Catholic Charities Advisory Board,
and the Hawaii Business Roundtable.
• Beth Whitehead is the Chief Administrative Officer & Executive Vice President of
American Savings Bank. Beth is responsible for developing programs and benefits
that provide opportunities for employees to fulfill their careers within the company.
Before joining American Savings Bank in 2008, Beth served as deputy general
counsel of First Horizon National Corporation, and also served as general counsel
at the National Commerce Financial.
