fig tree represents
�the House of Israel.�

Further support for Israel as the fig tree is found in the Old Testament; examples
include Jeremiah
24, Joel chapter 1, Hosea chapter 9 and Micah 4, among a host of others.

others, to be
fulfilled, the people living through the aforementioned events would also have had
to experience
all of the other biblical signs�including a dramatic upsurge in earthquakes and
storms, a rapid
proliferation of knowledge and travel, a great falling away from the faith, and
finally, the gospel
being preached throughout the whole world.
