Scope of Work Comments
4 Four (4) horizontal 5”x2” 5,000 psi subsea trees The ENI Okono and Okpoho Fields, located in Block OML 119
(former Block OPL 91), are 55 km (34 miles) from the Nigerian
4 Four (4) tubing hanger systems
coast, in water depth ranging from 65 to 75 m (210 to 250 ft).
4 Four (4) tree caps The produced oil is exported through a permanently stationed
4 Two (2) rigid mudline conversions FPSO, with offloading via a shuttle tanker. The fields can reach a
production of 50,000 bopd and a total production of 400 mmbo
4 Running and retrieval tools associated with the mudline
throughout its life. First oil was achieved in December 2001, a
conversion
mere twelve (12) months after ENI signed the production-sharing
4 Subsea tree and tubing hanger running and retrieval tools agreement with the NPDC (Nigerian Petroleum Development
4 Workover controls system Company).

4 System integration, testing, installation assistance, service The first two (2) systems were shipped twenty-one (21) weeks
and maintenance from contract award. In order to meet the very ambitious project
schedule, ENI requested FMC Technologies to air freight the first
two (2) completion systems. A Russian Antonov aircraft was
chartered, and equipment delivery was completed in less than 24
hours, compared to the five (5) weeks it normally takes by sea
freight.

The first two (2) wells were drilled using non-FMC wellheads with
permanent guide bases. Wells 3 and 4 required a rigid mudline
conversion system as the wells had been temporarily abandoned
with only 30” of casing protruding from the mudline. For
operational reasons, the completions had to be performed from a
semi-submersible rig, an operation normally performed by a jack-
up rig.
