MATLAMAT (GOALS) :

This course introduces students to develop printed circuit board, assemble components on printed circuit board and carry out
functionality test.

SINOPSIS (SYNOPSIS):

This course covers audio visual printed circuit board using circuit / schematic diagram, assemble components on printed circuit
board, carry out functionality test using test equipment, oscilloscopes, audio generators, distortion meter, audio power meter,
connectors, probes and multimeter, create diagnosis flow chart using flow chart symbols, oscilloscopes, pattern generators,
multimeters and other relevant test instruments, demonstrate circuit for audio visual using audio visual aid, project report, slides and
demonstration of equipment.

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:


1. Illustrate audio visual schematic circuit diagram and component layout in reference to circuit requirement. (C3,PLO3)
2. Construct audio visual printed circuit board, etch trace diagram and install components based on project circuit diagram.

3. Conform interconnection and functionality test of audio visual project. (A2,PLO6)

circuit diagram.

2.2 Perform mount component onto circuit board.
2.2.1 Identify components according to circuit requirement.
2.2.2 Check components and mounting procedures according to circuit
requirement.
2.2.3 Perform install components onto PCB according to procedures
and technique.
2.3 Solder and de-solder components.
2.3.1 Explain the types of soldering and de-soldering technique
according to standard requirement.
2.3.2 Identify composition of solder lead and temperature constraints
according to specification.
2.3.3 Perform the component soldering onto PCB according to circuit
diagram.
2.3.4 Apply safety procedure according to SOP.

3.1.3 Check physical shapes and body marking of electronic
components according to circuit layout.
3.2 Define system operation.
3.2.1 Identify electronic circuits and component functions according to
circuit diagram.
3.2.2 Perform circuits and component functions inspection according to
circuit diagram.
3.2.3 Check the integration of different circuits and the operation of the
system according to circuit diagram.

3.3.1 Identify test instruments according to the testing requirements.
3.3.2 Perform cables, connectors, attenuators and probes used for
interconnection of test equipment according to the testing
requirements.

3.4 Operate test equipment.
3.4.1 Interpret and read the schematic diagram to verify the test points
according to testing requirements.
3.4.2 Identify assembled circuit test point according to the test
requirement.
3.4.3 Perform connection on the board to be tested according to circuit
diagram.
3.4.4 Apply safety procedure according to SOP.
3.5 Record voltage and signal.
3.5.1 Identify critical test points in circuit according to circuit diagram.
3.5.2 Perform measuring and display critical voltages and test points

KEHADIRAN/PERATURAN SEMASA KULIAH ( LECTURE ATTENDANCE / REGULATION ):

1. Pelajar mesti hadir tidak kurang dari 80% masa pertemuan yang ditentukan bagi sesuatu kursus.
Students must attend lectures not less than 80% of the contact hours for every course .

2. Pelajar yang tidak memenuhi perkara (1) di atas tidak dibenarkan menduduki sebarang bentuk penilaian selanjutnya. Markah
sifar (0) akan diberikan kepada pelajar yang gagal memenuhi perkara (1).
Students who do not fulfill (1) will not be allowed to sit for any further examination. Zero mark (0) will be given to students who
fail to comply with (1).

3. Pelajar perlu mengikut dan patuh kepada peraturan berpakaian yang berkuatkuasa dan menjaga disiplin diri masing-masing
untuk mengelakkan dari tindakan tatatertib diambil terhadap pelajar.
Students must obey all rules and regulations and must discipline themselves in order to avoid any disciplinary actions against
them.

4. Pelajar perlu mematuhi peraturan keselamatan semasa proses pembelajaran dan pengajaran.
Student must obey safety regulations during learning and teaching process.
