I have the pleasure of recommending Ms. Isa Santos for a teaching position. As a University of Arizona instructor of
record for science methods, where Ms. Santos was enrolled, I can speak to her professionalism, positive attitude, and
enthusiasm.

Ms. Santos exhibits a mature professionalism that impressed me from the start. She expertly managed the pressing
demands of coursework and fieldwork. Ms. Santos modified science materials into inquiry lessons to better support
the Next Generation Science Standards and Arizona Teaching Standards. Her lessons and interactions with students
forefronted their ideas and leveraged their resources in their learning.

Ms. Santos has a positive attitude and is highly reliable. Her collegial nature was apparent as she shared ideas with
others and collaborated on lesson preparation and group teaching. In addition to being a strong team member, Ms.
Santos is also extremely capable with planning and teaching lessons on her own. In class discussions and in her
assignments, she would engage in more sophisticated reflections on her teaching performance and students’ learning
that moved beyond typical classroom management techniques. Ms. Santos would be a valuable assest to your
collaborative team of teachers as well as a confident teacher.
