Academic Advisor- Graduate Assistant August 2017 – Present
College of Arts and Sciences, Seattle University Seattle, WA
▪ Advised a caseload of 95-105 Arts and Sciences students on educational planning, major and career
discernment, college transition, professional development, and referrals to resources
▪ Provide drop-in advising in a fast-paced environment to a high volume of students concerning
registration changes, policy and procedure guidance and explanation, educational planning, and
departmental referrals
▪ Provide support and assistance to advisees facing a variety of personal as well as institutional
problems, questions and challenges
▪ Developed and implemented an Academic Success Coach Program for marginalized students on
Academic Probation that will now be an ongoing service provided through the college
▪ Meet individually with students on Academic Probation throughout the quarter (7-10 per quarter) as
their academic success coach to help them meet both academic and non-academic needs
▪ Campus partnerships with Education Abroad, Office of Multicultural Affairs, First Generation Support
Services, Veteran Support Services, Disability Services, and Campus Ministry
▪ Lead Registration 101 workshops and assist with recruiting events, publications, and assessment for
the college

▪ Worked closely with 4 Resident Directors, the Assistant Director, and the Director of Mesa Court
housing to re-design student staff training in order to include training from on campus offices such as
the LGBTQ resource center, the Cross-Cultural Center, the Counseling Center, First Generation Student
Support Services, etc…
▪ Re-designed the Mesa Court Housing duty procedures by creating a facilities quick guide, students
concern quick guide, responding to duty calls guide, how to write incident report guide, and resident
resources guide
▪ Provided administrative support to the Mesa Court Housing Professional Staff
▪ Worked with Operational Staff to redesign a new evacuation guide to support all students
