RELEASE NOTES

NDT Software v8.4.3

November 1, 2016

NDT (Niton Data Transfer) software release v8.4.3 includes the following version enhancements
and fixes:
 Support for Windows 10 Operating System. The installer also works for Windows 7 and
Windows 8 Systems. This version of NDT supports XL2, XL3 and DXL products.
 Fix for Print Certificate issue: previous software release truncated the characters for
various fields in the printout of certificates. This has been corrected.

NDT v8.4.3 is available for download from the Customer Support Portal (CSP).

To ensure successful installation of the NDT software to Windows 10 systems, please follow the
steps outlined below:

1. Disconnect analyzer from computer using Windows 10 OS, if connected.


2. Uninstall the existing NDT software
3. Delete the NDT folder
4. Power cycle the computer with the Windows 10 system
5. Login as Administrator to Windows 10
6. Run the NDTSetup.exe
7. Open the NDT application and select Help/About Thermo Scientific NDT. Confirm
latest version (v8.4.3) was installed.

Note: You will need to be a registered user at Thermo Scientific Portable Analytical
Instruments’ Customer Support Portal (CSP), www.portables.thermoscientific.com, to access
the content at this site.
