WAPCOS Limited an „ISO 9001:2008 “Mini Ratna-I” Organization intends to fill up the following
posts on Contract/Pay Scale/Regular basis for its various Projects at different locations in the State of
Odisha. The requisite age, qualification and experience prescribed for the posts are as under.

A. HYDRO & OTHER PROJECTS:

in Erection/Maintenance of Hydro Power Generating Units will
be preferred. Upper Age limit – 65 years.
2. Expert Degree in Minimum 15 years Experience out of which 10 years should be
(Control & Electrical in Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Control Panels,
Instrumentation) Engineering Instruments, Relay and Protection System of Hydro Power
Generating Station will be essential.
Upper Age Limit- 65 years
3. Expert Degree in Minimum 15 years Experience out of which 10 years should be
(Electrical) Electrical in Erection, Testing & Commissioning of Hydro Power
Engineering Generating Units will be essential. Upper Age Limit- 65 years.
4. Expert(Civil) Degree in Civil Minimum 15 years Experience out of which 10 years should be
Engineering in construction of Civil Works of Hydro Generating Stations.
Experience in civil works like 220KV Switchyard Bay
Extension, Installation of Lift & other architectural works will
be preferred. Upper Age Limit- 65 years.
5. Expert Degree in Minimum 15 years Experience out of which 10 years should be
( Mechanical) Mechanical in Erection & Commissioning of Hydro Mechanical
Engineering Components of Hydro Power Units will be essential. Experience
in installation of Fire Fighting equipments, Air conditioning and
Ventilation system in Hydro Power Stations will be preferred.
Upper Age Limit- 65 years.
Site Supervisor Degree in Minimum 10 years Experience out of which 5 years should be

1) Those who are working in the Govt. Departments/PSU/Autonomous bodies are required to
apply through proper channel or produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of
Interview/Skill Test.
2) The posts are to filled against the projects requirement.
3) An interview/Skill test will be conducted to shortlist the candidates.
4) Nature of appointment of the shortlisted candidates will be decided on the basis of suitability,
nature of experience, performance of individual during the interview and last salary drawn.
5) Age and experience shall be counted as on 31.12.2017.
6) Applications are to be submitted in the WAPCOS format only & application submitted in other
formats will be rejected.

7) Applicants should enclose self-certified copies of their educational qualifications and

experience certificates without which the applications will be rejected.
8) Management reserves the right to fix the criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be
called for interview.
9) Preference will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PWBMD candidates if otherwise found suitable.
10) SC/ST/PWBMD candidates coming from outstation for appearing in the interview will be paid
Sleeper II class rail/bus fare by the shortest route as per rules on production of tickets.
11) The Headquarter of the persons appointed will be initially at any Project location in Odisha.
However they will be liable to be posted anywhere in India or abroad as per exigencies of
works of the Company.
12) The mere fact that a candidate has submitted his/her application against the advertisement and
apparently fulfilling the criteria as prescribed in the advertisement would not bestow on
him/her the right to be definitely called for interview/skill test considered for further
