To Whom It May Concern,

I have had the honor of working with Ms. Cordray during her first year as a fifth grade math
teacher. During this time I have been able to see first hand her passion, persistence, and
dedication to both the students and her colleagues. Ms. Cordray understands the importance of
using data to drive instruction. She is consistently seeking knowledge from her teammates and
her mentor in regards to grouping and learning more about her student’s needs. Despite this
being Ms. Cordray’s first year in the classroom, I am impressed with her ability to create an
engaging and individualized learning environment for all students. For example, her science
lessons involves students becoming meteorologist by evaluating the weather outside every day.
Resulting in students taking real life information and applying their data to math skills.

Ms. Cordray takes the extra measures in lesson preparations and understands the impact of
working as a team. One of her key strengths as an educator is understanding all aspects of
education. She openly collaborates with colleagues through weekly meetings, team-teaching, and
planning. She shares many original ideas freely and enthusiastically and is always willing to go
the extra mile for any colleague that needs assistance. Ms. Cordray has the skills sets and
willingness to learn and because of this she will be an important asset to school. I highly
recommend Ms. Corday because of her passion for education.

Sincerely,
