Policy, Advocacy, Campaign and Communications Manager

Job Location: Dhaka

Oxfam is looking for a dynamic team player to work with the Oxfam in Bangladesh. This is a fixed term National position. The
contract duration of this position is 02 (Two) years initially.
(Only Bangladeshi national are eligible to apply).

He /she will be reportable to Programme Director, and will work in close coordination with numbers of Partners, Alliances & project
teams in Bangladesh.

The purpose of this position is

To strengthen Oxfam’s impact of our local to national level influence and policy level works within Bangladesh, at regional and
global arena by providing strategic and ground level leadership on policy, advocacy and campaigning aspects. Developing require
strategies, improving skill and knowledge, enhancing the technical expertise and ensure support to the concern programme
teams, stakeholders, alliances and networking and use moment to get the leverage.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

Post Graduate degree in a relevant subject and minimum of 7 years of experience in an advocacy and campaigning
capacity and in building external relationships
Proven capacity for quality research and policy analysis and a demonstrated track record of producing high quality
evidence-based policy papers
Well-developed understanding of development and the political, socio-economic, and environmental context in the
Bangladesh
Well-developed understanding of social and mainstream media and campaigning issues in the Bangladesh with sound
knowledge and experience.
Highly developed strategic planning skills with ability to influence programme unit / department's overall strategies and
which contribute to country strategies.
Strong interpersonal skills and a highly developed ability to work in multicultural settings and with community groups of
varying backgrounds; developed capacity for tact, diplomacy and negotiation
Excellent communicator who leads in building relationships with key external/internal contacts.
Experience of working in highly complex political environments. Direct experience of Bangladesh is desirable.
Demonstrable people and budget management skills.
The ability to adapt to different cultures. Experience of working in Asian cultures desirable.
Must demonstrate commitment and sensitivity to gender issues.
Experience of working in insecure environments and of implementing security policies.

Reward & Benefits:

An amount of BDT 21,71,400 per annum (13 month) gross will be paid with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse
and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.
