Renewable Energy is an emerging sector for the sustainable socio-economic development of the
country. Day by day, renewable energy technologies are upgrading and developing in a continuing
manner. By the next decade, it is expected to generate most of the power using non-conventional
energy resources which will help to mitigate the world energy crisis. Department of Mechanical and
Chemical Engineering is offering courses related to Renewable Energy since long time and become a
very important subject of choice by the students. However, the department has very limited laboratory
facilities for conducting relevant experiments. It is a sensible demand for the students to be more
exposed to sustainable renewable energy technologies and to understand the challenges of the future.
So, it is necessary to establish renewable energy laboratory with modern equipments to allow
student’s performing hands on experiments and gather useful knowledge. Therefore, following
equipments will be required for conducting the Renewable Energy related experiments. It is important
to note that such laboratory equipments may preferably be procured from the reliable brand
ELETTRONICA VENETA, Italy. They provide good quality equipments at competitive price.
Addition of these equipments will enhance experimental capacity of Renewable Energy Lab. In order
to justify the need of these equipments a list of Experiments that will be conducted under the
Renewable Energy course has been attached.

Under the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, a Subsonic Wind Tunnel with flow visualization techniques
will be required to perform some state of art technology experiments such as aerodynamic drag and
lift, flow separation, boundary layer phenomena, characteristics of different aerodynamic shapes,
visualization of the flow over the body etc. Therefore, following equipments will be required for
conducting some Wind tunnel experiments. It is important to note that these laboratory equipments
may preferably be procured from a reliable brand TecEquipment Ltd., United Kingdom. They
provide good quality equipments at competitive price. Addition of these equipments will broaden
experimental capacity of the Fluid Mechanics Lab. In order to justify the need of these equipments a
list of Experiments that will be conducted under the fluid mechanics course has been attached.
