The first stage is the eggs.

This is
where a female butterfly lays
eggs.The second stage is a larva,also
known as a caterpillar.This is when
the eggs hatch.A larva then come
out.It needs to eat a lot of leaves so it
can grow quickliy.When a larva is
grown to its full length and
weigth,the third stage starts.It will
form into a pupa.Inside the pupa,a
larva changes to a butterfly.The
fourth stage is a butterfly.When it is
fully transformed,a butterfly comes
out of the pupa.The life cycle of a
butterfly will starts all over again.
