Dear Sir or Madam:

Please accept my application for the Summer Internship program in Barcelona. I am interested in gaining
experience and a greater understanding of international business and marketing practices. As a third-year
double major in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and International Studies at the
University of Missouri, I believe that I greatly qualify for the program.

My experience as a member of the Marketing Committee for the spring of 2018 in Alpha Kappa Psi
Professional Business Fraternity has allowed me to greatly develop and strengthen my skills in the
desired areas. My position responsibilities include collaborating with other elected members to run all
social media platforms in a positive light, strategically recruiting well-qualified business students in the
organization, creating awareness for all business related events across campus, as well as developing new
ideas on how to overall improve Alpha Kappa Psi.

Adding on, I currently volunteer for Centro de Latinos, a non-profit organization that specializes in
teaching immigrant children how to speak English, as an after-school program. As a lead teacher, my
responsibilities include using my fluency in English and Spanish to teach children how to read, write,
understand arithmetic, and gain confidence in their educational circumstances. As a Hispanic immigrant, I
find it crucial and necessary to inspire the youth to pursue their educational dreams, regardless of
language and culture barriers.

This past semester, I had the opportunity to intern for Lyft and report back to their headquarters in San
Francisco in their campus marketing sector. Throughout the internship I learned numerous valuable skills
that I will continue to develop and carry with me into future business careers. I was able to gain beneficial
experience by participating in innovative marketing campaigns to raise brand awareness on campus,
effectively reporting quantitative and qualitative marketing research, and giving exceptional customer
service. I productively promoted Lyft on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram and became
proficient in many complex programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe.
