COACHING EXPERIENCE

Head Coach, Men’s Basketball


Moorpark community College (2014-present)
o 2016 Western State Conference Coach of the Year.
o Won 38 games over two years including first conference champion-
ship in 10 years and hosted playoff game for first time since 2001.
o Six, multiple year first-team all conference selections. One player of
the year nominee and one all state nominee.
o Responsible for all duties required of the head coach:
o Coordinate and manage the recruitment of all student athletes.
o Ensure academic success. Facilitate tutors, progress reports, class-
room checks, and study hall.
o Four years in a row highest team GPA on campus. Western State Con-
ference scholar team of the year (2016) and California Community
College scholar team of the year (2016).
o Weekly meetings with support staff. Dean of Athletics, Athletic Direc-
tor, Athletic Trainer, and Equipment Manager.
o Budgeting: making the most out of the limited funds presented.
o Fundraising-oversight of program fundraising. Gross ~$10,000 per
year.
o Fostering the professional development of student-athletes through
internships.
o Delegation of Duties. Opponent scouting, film review, player develop-
ment, and strength and conditioning.

Assistant Coach, Men’s Basketball


University of California, San Diego (2012-2014)
o Recruiting coordinator, responsible for the recruitment of potential
student-athletes in compliance with NCAA guidelines.
o Monitor and ensure student athlete academic eligibility.
o Coordinate all travel arrangements while complying with our travel
budget.
o Oversee the purchasing of necessary equipment and clothing.
o Give tactical and technical skills instruction to all players with empha-
sis on the guards position.
o Support the head coach by providing game-time feedback.
o Scout opposing players and teams and produce scouting reports for
coaches and players.
o Prepare film showing opposing team tendencies for pre and post-
practice viewing by coaches and players.
o Supervise managers and their role during practice and games.
o Director of the high school team camps, and high school elite camps
bringing in over 100 high school teams and 70 high school athletes
each year.
