1.0 INTRODUCTION
___________________________________________________________________
Th This programme is aimed at promoting the use of English as a communicative tool in
authentic situations. Students will enjoy themselves in a non-threatening and nurturing
environment when using the language. This programme provides an environment where
learning a language and experiencing cultural interchange will enrich the lives of the
students.

2.0 AIM
___________________________________________________________________

This Programme provides an avenue for participants to immerse themselves in an English-

speaking environment via healthy, educational and enjoyable activities.

3.0 OBJECTIVES

3.1 The objectives of this programme are to enable participants to:

3.1.1 communicate effectively and confidently in the English language.

3.1.2 use the language in a conducive environment.

3.1.3 develop positive attitudes and values.

3.1.4 develop leadership qualities.

3.1.5 realize self-worth.

3.1.6 think critically and creatively in English.

2. 8 am -10 am Ice Breaking Guess who am I in 15 years?

-Pupils write down their

name in a piece of paper
-Pass the papers around with
friends(from the same
school)
-In your opinion, write down
what do you think your friend
will be in 15 years.
-Next, sit in a big circle and
stick your friend’s paper to
his or her back.
-After that, you have to stand
and go around and ask about
 the field, the characteristics
of the job stick to your
back.(in 30 minutes)
-When you guess correctly,
sit back down in circle.

3. 10-10.30 Recess
3. 10.30am-12pm Hot Dog Making -A teacher will teach how to
make a hot dog book
-Pupils will listen to the
instruction and do their own
hot dog books
-Decorate their hot dog
books and write about
themselves in the book.
-Title “This is me”
-Teacher will choose 3 most
creative hot dog books to be
chosen as winners and will
be given prizes
4 12pm-2pm Lunch and Zuhr prayer
5. 2pm-3pm Treasure Hunt -Each group will have to
answer question to be given
a pass to the next station
- The earliest group to find
the treasure will be the
winner
6. 3-4pm Role Play -Each group will be given a
situation eg at the hospital, at
the police station. At the
restaurant
-They have to do a role play
based on the given situation
7. 4-4.30 Gallery Walk and Gallery walk –Hot Dog Books

9.0 EVALUATION

Scoring and evaluation of the performances will be judged by English teachers and
appointed juries among other teachers.

10.0 CLOSURE
___________________________________________________________________

By conducting this programme, we hope that we could learn new knowledge

and gain meaningful experiences. We also hope that this programme could
contribute to the development of the school. Apart from that, by conducting these
types of activities, the pupils in SK Sandau & SK Paris 3 will be more interested in
learning English which indirectly will increase their performance in academic and
apply the usage of English in their daily life.

Thus, we hope the school will consider and give supports to make this
programme a success. Last but not least, through the knowledge and experiences
gained in this programme, the teachers will be able to develop their professionalism
in teaching role in accordance with the Philosophy of Teacher Education.
