vs.
Affidavit of Probable Cause
JAYDE LAUREN ALTEMEIER
Date of Birth: 01/24/1988
Arrestee
On 03/02/2019 15:04 the defendant was arrested for the offense(s) of:
I believe there is probable cause to charge the defendant with these charges because:
On March 2, 2019, Sandy Police patrol received a call of a stabbing at the Extended Stay Hotel, Room #147.
Upon arrival, they located the victim, C.O., who had multiple stab wounds. C.O. stated that her daughter, Jayde
Altemeier, previously told her she was suicidal and homicidal. Today, she came into C.O.'s room at the
Extended Stay Hotel and stabbed C.O. multiple times. C.O. had two stab wounds to her chest, one to her neck,
one to a finger and a large laceration on her left arm, one on her tricep and another on her lip. Three of these
injuries are in locations that are likely to cause death. Jayde left the scene prior to police arrival, but later went
into an Olive Garden restaurant in American Fork and made the statement that she had stabbed her mother.
There was blood on Jayde's clothing when she was taken into custody.
I declare under penalty of perjury and under the laws of the State of Utah that the foregoing is true and correct.
