    SUBJECT: Request From Senator D'Amato for Documents


    Relating to Dr. Josef Mengele

    1. After an extensive search of DO records, seven (7)


    documents were surfaced relating to Dr. Josef Mengele. The
    documents, dating back to 1972, indicated no CIA relationship
    with Mengele, at any time.

    2. On 21 February 1985 these documents were forwarded to


    Senator Alfonse D'Amato, through OLL, and copies were sent to
    EPS/LG and OGC.

    3. A search of 15 aliases allegedly used by Mengele proved


    to be negative.
