9/16: The DouglAsville AreA georgiA Tech Alumni As-
sociATion would like to invite all alumni and potential students to a
speaker event on Thursday evening, September 16th from 6:30-9:30 pm
at Logan’s Restaurant on Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville. The speaker
will be Marilyn Somers. Marilyn is an interesting speaker with expertise
in the history and traditions of Georgia Tech and is the founder/director
of the Georgia Tech Living History Program, which she created in 1994.
An oral historian, she also produces documentaries on Tech’s history and
travels to alumni events as a storyteller. We look forward to hearing her
reminisce about the history of Georgia Tech. There is NO CHARGE for
this event, which will be held in the private room behind the bar area at
Logan’s on Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville. Guests are expected to pay
