PULSE RATE SENSOR- We are incorporating the sensor to get the live heart rate data of driver.

The
driver's attention on the road is the most important factor while driving. To detect the state of
drowsiness or panic of the driver live heart rate plays a vital role.

The sensor non-intrusively measures heart pulse wave from driver's palms or earlobe. An adaptive filter
(like capacitor) is employed to cancel the measurement noise aroused by changing gripping force.

The sensor is based on principle of photo phlethysmography. It measures the change in volume of blood
through any organ of the body which causes a change in light intensity through that organ. Sensor
consists of a light emitting device and a detector like photodiode.

When we place the finger on pulse sensor, the light reflected will change based on the volume of blood
inside the capillary blood vessel. This variation in light transmission and reflection can be obtained as a
pulse from the output of pulse sensor.

The live pulse rate is sensed by the team and the driver. In case of drowsiness or panic an alarm will
beep (alert system) to keep the driver alert and keep focused on the road and will transfer the message
to the team to take some adaptive measures.
