Reflection:
DON’T EAT LESS, EAT RIGHT!
Eating a balanced diet is vital for good health and wellbeing. I can say nutrition laboratory
is very enjoyable subject. As a teenager and as a student nurse it is very important to really
understand the daily calories we should intake to avoid and prevent some disease.
As time goes on I started to love this subject, why? Because if you understand to create a
meal plan regarding to the specific DBW and TER of an individual. Our teacher is very
approachable and very smart she has the courage to teach all of her student and of course we all
know that we are not of numbers.
In this term we all improved when it comes to creating a meal plan. At first, analyzing the
case is not easy for me and my group mates because there should be a step by step procedure to
identify the appropriate diet for the patient. As we help each other and shares are own idea, I can
say that we created our meal presentation successfully. Cooking is not easy for us with no
experiences but because of the help of our parents we survived it. As a group cooperation is very
important in order to have a god outcome.
As a student I realized that being smart is not enough but being industrious and
hardworking will lead the way to your success. As a student nurse I will encouraged everyone to
have the initiative to start a healthy lifestyle and a proper diet to live a long lasting life.
