Every country built monument in honor to their famous citizens.

In the particular case of El Salvador

there are many famous literatures that should be honored. In my opinion, a monument of the
remarkable writer and poet Alfredo Espino should be constructed. There are two main reasons to start
the construction, first is a famous literature and second it would show cultural appreciation.

Being a literature representor is a remarkable achievement in life. Alfredo Espino is a famous writer and
poet in our country. Since we are in elementary school we start learning some of his works. Therefore, is
someone whose works have a special meaning for every Salvadorian. He is also a symbol of youth
intellectual growth for many of us. That important fact is the one I consider the most important one to
admire of that man.

Cultural appreciation should be an obligatory activity. Being culture aware expands someone’s
knowledge and help to know your culture even more. Constructing a monument of a Salvadorian writer
is important because it would get the attention of those one who did not know him. In other words, it
will increase the culture knowledge, respect for art, and increase the curiosity in literature. In my
opinion, if we achieve those tree things our culture will improve.

Built a statue or monument for a famous persons is way to show respect. Somehow doing it for a writer
is even more remarkable. In El Salvador a monument for poet and writer Alfredo Espino should be built
for the above mentioned reasons. First, he is a famous writer and it would show that we have some
cultural appreciation.
