Career objectives and values

As a Dietitian who values optimal nutrition and physical fitness, I strive to inspire others to achieve permanent,
healthy habits, in order to prevent and help cure disease. In the near future, I also intend to get certifications for
personal training and diabetes education.

Outpatient counseling Dietitian: Consult patients regarding their specific nutritional needs, apply medical nutrition
therapy, dietary counseling, and surveillance.

Management position: Upon hire, I created the nutrition department in the clinic, which I currently, operate, and
oversee. By working with coders, billing, and other providers, I gained in-depth knowledge regarding insurance
reimbursement, medication nutrition interaction, and the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration. I created my
own fee schedule, make my own nutrition material, manage my referrals and schedule my own patients.

In my educational experience above, I learned to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient’s
nutritional risk based on their current condition or disease. In that time, I developed leadership qualities and
appreciated the importance of taking initiative. I implemented medical nutritional therapy, and educated patients
regarding the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. I implemented my knowledge of food-drug interaction and
allergies. I focused on projects to optimize the local community’s nutritional status by presenting, blogging,
advertising, counseling, and creating menus.
