Discussion Question #5
1. Terms such as Conservative, Liberal, and Socialist are still used today in
contemporary
political debates. Do they still mean the same thing as they did during 1815-1848 and
today?

There is really one one clear way to tell if these terms are the same in 1815 as they are now in
2019 is to describe them. At the time during 1815 to about 1848 the conservative was someone
who was actually not a group of intellectuals but rather of a revival of religion. They actually
believe in conserving the past the past and cultivating tradition. The Liberal group was a group
of individuals who believed that the government was to actually protect all of it’s liberties. Hey
socialist group was a group that Believe that there’s there society that could be both industrial
and humane. With all this being said it is pretty early that in 1815 and 2019 things are still being
done in today’s Society.
