a period of time.” For over 60 years Mayco has been helping ceramicists and studio
owners cultivate their art and grow their businesses through innovative products,
education and inspiration. We’re passionate about ceramics and committed to those
that follow their passion in this industry.

This catalog has been created to not only show you the Mayco Bisque collection but will
also serve as a resource for design and marketing tips, trends and ideas to help you boost
your business. Our cover features flowers that were created from various Mayco bisque
shapes and decorated with Mayco fired color products. These vibrant flowers also represent
blooming creativity, flourishing business and our desire to help you cultivate your place in
the world of ceramics.

The colorful blooms on our cover were created using a variety of Mayco Glazes, Bisque
and Creative Tools. The designs reflect the versatility and the ability to intermix many of
our product lines (both in bisque and color) and the innovative approach that we take to
creating new products and tools. The flowers were formed by using a variety of dinnerware,
ornaments and other bisque Then, we added surface decoration with Silkscreens, Stencils,
Stroke & Coat® and Crystal Glazes, and found objects such as feathers to turn the creations
into blooming beauties.

The Mayco Bisque collection is unique and we like that. When our team begins the

For ovenware, we recommend that the ware be placed

in a cold oven, warming as the oven pre-heats. Then, the
stoneware can be removed from a hot oven, allowing to
cool to room temperature. Avoid drastic fluctuations in
temperature (freezer to oven, oven to freezer) to prevent
thermal shock within the clay body and glaze.

For artists wishing to use a low-fire glaze with Mayco’s

Stoneware bisque, fire the ware to maturity to cone 5/6.
Then apply Stroke & Coat® for glaze firing to cone 06/05.
